I provide therapy for adults and couples(+) who are struggling in ways that often feel confusing or overwhelming. Many of the people I work with have a history of complex or developmental trauma, but not everyone uses that word when they arrive. What they do know is that something in their life does not feel right.
I often work with adults who are healing from strained, complicated, or estranged family relationships, complex grief, religious trauma, narcissistic abuse, physical and emotional abuse, sexual abuse, emotional neglect, and traumatic loss and experiences.
In my work, I have found that these challenges often show up as self-doubt, anxiety, depression, irritability, relationship struggles, chronic overwhelm, shame, substance misuse, people-pleasing, perfectionism, burnout, or feeling numb or disconnected from themselves and other people. It can be painful and confusing to live this way, especially when you have already tried to push through and “figure it out” on your own.
The most important part of therapy is building enough safety and trust for you to talk through what is happening in a way that feels grounded rather than overwhelming. You deserve a space where you can explore the complex experiences you carry without feeling judged or rushed.
I am an IFS therapist, EMDR certified therapist and Consultant. I use EMDR, IFS therapy, somatic and nervous-system-based practices, and when appropriate, neuroplasticity-enhanced therapy or EMDR/ IFS intensive formats to support deeper healing. These approaches allow us to work with the stuck places in a way that helps your system soften, release, and find new possibilities. With couples, I incorporate attachment-focused work and Emotionally Focused Therapy with an IFS-informed lens to support healthier communication and more secure connection.
I understand how hard it can be to find the right therapist, especially when the issues you are carrying feel vulnerable or confusing. When we begin, we take time to understand your history, your goals, and what your nervous system needs in order to feel safe. From there, we work together in a way that is steady, compassionate, and paced so that real change can take root.
Therapy can help you feel more connected, more present, and more in control of your life. It can offer a sense of relief, clarity, and groundedness that makes room for relationships, rest, and hope again.
If you are ready to get started, I would be honored to support you in your healing.

What Therapy With Mary Feels Like
Therapy with Mary can feel like being gently guided toward the places you’ve learned to avoid while knowing someone grounded is there with you the whole way through. Clients who work with Mary often appreciate her ability to help them access the more tender and vulnerable places beneath longstanding protective patterns. While grounded and focused, Mary also brings warmth, relationality, and moments of humor into the therapy space, helping clients feel both supported and challenged in meaningful ways.
Life Outside of Therapy
Outside of therapy, I’m usually out on an adventure with my small human, meeting up with friends, reading a book for fun, or hiking with my dog. I also have an active meditation and movement practice. These rituals and moments of connection help me stay grounded and present in my work and my life.
