Why do I feel stuck in the same patterns, no matter how hard I try to heal?

If you’ve done the work and still feel pulled into the same spirals, it can start to feel like healing is never going to fully happen. Stressors pile up, your system feels overloaded, and memories or past experiences can hit hard, even when you’re doing your best to move forward.

Therapy intensives help you understand protective patterns, support nervous system regulation, and make room for the grounded, capable you to come back online.

What are Therapy Intensives?

Therapy intensives are a focused, immersive way to support deep healing when weekly therapy alone hasn’t been enough. Instead of spreading the work out over months, intensives offer extended sessions that allow your nervous system to stay engaged, supported, and regulated while working with trauma at the root. This approach is especially helpful for adults who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or exhausted by long-standing patterns connected to trauma, PTSD, anxiety, or depression.

Therapy intensives help soften the grip by working with how these patterns are stored in the body, rather than just talking about them. Using trauma-informed therapy approaches such as EMDR therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), parts work, and somatic therapy, intensives support emotional regulation, nervous system regulation, and meaningful forward movement, so healing can feel steadier and more integrated in a short space of time.

This is a haven where your wild is welcomed, tended to, and brought back into balance.

What Can Therapy Intensives Help With?

Softening Trauma

Trauma doesn’t only live in memories. Trauma therapy intensives can help release trauma that shows up as chronic pain, tightness, numbness, or exhaustion, allowing your body to feel safer, lighter, and more at home.

Reduced Anxiety, Panic, & Fear Responses

Fear-based patterns, panic attacks, and phobias can lose their grip after therapy intensives. Over time, triggers can feel less intense, your world can feel less restricted, and confidence in your ability to cope can start to return.

Relief from Depression & Emotional Heaviness

With therapy intensives, the constant weight of depression can begin to lift. After intensives, people notice more energy, more emotional range, and a renewed sense of connection to themselves, their relationships, and their life.

Healing Chronic Shame & Self-Criticism

That relentless inner voice that says you are failing or not enough can soften with therapy intensives. Your self-compassion can grow, your self-trust can strengthen, and your sense of worth can feel more grounded and stable.

Support Through Grief & Loss

Grief can be held with care instead of pushing it down or being overwhelmed by it. Therapy intensives offer space for grief to move, integrate, and coexist with moments of meaning and connection.

Recovery from Burnout & Chronic Stress,

When your system has been running on empty, therapy intensives can help restore capacity. Many people experience clearer boundaries, improved resilience, and a pace of life that feels more sustainable.

Greater Stability for ADHD

When trauma and ADHD overlap, emotional overwhelm and shame often intensify daily challenges. Therapy intensives can support regulation, reduce stress-based reactivity, and make everyday life feel more manageable and less exhausting.

Questions About Therapy Intensives

A trauma therapy intensive is a focused, short-term therapy format designed to support deeper healing in a shorter period of time. Instead of weekly 50-minute sessions, therapy intensives, including couples intensives, involve extended sessions that allow for momentum, integration, and meaningful change. This format can be especially helpful for adults who feel stuck or want to work more directly with their trauma and PTSD.

Trauma therapy intensives offer longer, uninterrupted intensive therapy sessions, which allow your nervous system to stay engaged and supported for deeper processing. Many people find this format helpful when weekly therapy feels slow, fragmented, or has not led to lasting change, particularly with complex trauma, CPTSD, anxiety, or depression.

Our trauma-focused intensives integrate EMDR therapy, EMDR intensives, Internal Family Systems (IFS), parts work, somatic interventions, and nervous system–based therapy within a trauma-informed framework. The work is experiential, carefully paced, and centered on safety, emotional regulation, and nervous system regulation. We collaborate closely to tailor the approach to your needs.

Therapy intensives for trauma can support adults navigating childhood trauma, complex trauma, relationship trauma, anxiety, panic attacks, phobias, social anxiety, depression, treatment-resistant anxiety or depression, chronic shame, grief and loss, burnout and stress, and ADHD when trauma is part of the picture. Intensives are often helpful when insight alone has not been enough to create change.

No. Intensive trauma therapy does not require retelling traumatic experiences in detail. The work focuses on what your system is ready for, with attention to pacing, consent, and regulation. For some, a 3-day trauma intensive can feel complete. For others, especially those healing from complex trauma or CPTSD, intensives may be a starting point, with additional sessions added as needed. We assess this together over time.

Trauma therapy intensive cost varies by format and provider. Structured packages typically range from $2,375 to $5,100, with additional 2.5-hour intensive sessions available starting at $600. Payment plans are available through CareCredit for those who qualify. A consultation is the best way to explore fit and determine whether therapy intensives are the right next step for you.

What Therapy Intensives Can Change at the Root

Many clients notice shifts during or shortly after their intensive. A 3-day therapy intensive often creates strong momentum, and for some, it feels complete on its own. A half-day intensive series can support a slower build, with many clients noticing steady progress over 8 to 12 sessions, depending on your needs, your history, and your nervous system.
Over time, you may notice:

Life may still have ups and downs, but after therapy intensives, you may be able to meet them with more steadiness, clarity, and trust in yourself.
